  • Life Transitions

Change is hard and sometimes a successful transition from one thing to another requires help. If you are struggling settling into a new role as a student, adult, job, parenthood, relationship, or whatever change you are facing, lets talk about what you need in order to be successful!

  • Depression

Have you been feeling down, or struggling to find the motivation to keep going? We all feel down at times, but there are times when it’s more than merely feeling “down.” Jacob has helped numerous individuals struggling with depression find hope, and meaning in life.

  • Anxiety

Anxiety can come from many different sources, often seemingly from all around at once. It can make sleep difficult, make it nearly impossible to think clearly, or cause physical symptoms like sweat, rapid heart rate, difficulty breathing, or hyperactivity. While some anxiety is normal and we, as humans, all experience anxiety, often anxiety can quickly get out of hand making daily living difficult. Therapy can be a great way to identify, process, and resolve worries.

  • Grief

Loss may be a part of life, but that does not mean it easy to deal with. Often, we think of grief as a process we deal with after the death of a loved one; but we can also experience grief after the loss of a job, or relationship. Grief affects everyone differently because each and every relationship is unique, just as you are unique. Therapy can be a safe space to process loss and to find meaning in life.

  • Spirituality

Spirituality is often overlooked, but it doesn’t have to be. We all have our own way of viewing and making sense of the world around us. Often that involves spirituality and/or religion. The core beliefs we hold help shape who we are, along with our sense of right and wrong. There are times when current events, history, or others views, can shake our beliefs, leading to psychological issues. Other times, we simply want to find meaning for ourselves. If you are struggling and would like to talk further about meaning and spirituality, therapy can be a safe, non-judgemental place to explore who you are and where spirituality may reside in your life.

  • Couples Therapy

Healthy relationships are built upon the foundation of trust, commitment, and communication. Successful long term relationships are beautiful, and formed through many small and often missed steps along the way. Misses occur because most of are not taught how to effectively communicate wants and needs to our partners and to actively listen to what they want and need. The good news is that listening and communication skills can be learned and practiced and can result in building relationships back better.
